Our profile 

Gima UK Ltd is the leading supplier of ethnic products in the UK. We import and distribute many of your favourite Eastern European and Mediterranean brands to your local shops.

We work with suppliers from various countries including Poland, Bulgaria, Romania, Turkiye, Spain, Germany, Sri Lanka and many more. With over 150 staff members, we aim to work more effectively and efficiently to create greater choices in the ethnic market. As the UK’s leading wholesaler/importer, we are always pushing boundaries to maintain our high standards and dominate the market.

Our history

Gima UK Ltd was founded in North London in 1998 as a food and drinks wholesale company. In our early years, Gima began in a warehouse with only 1,500 square ft of space, fewer than 150 lines and around 60 customers!

The company first started supplying to the Turkish community and then moved to expand to other ethnic minorities living in London, including the likes of the Polish, Romanian, German, Bulgarian, Macedonian, Yugoslavian communities.

Today we  are able to reach millions of consumers with our super tasty own branded products:

Bodrum, Melis, Sultanim and Skanderbeg.

Our mission

It is quite simply to consistantly maintain leadership and continually improve our products and services in order to satisfy our customers and through them, our consumers!

We currently supply to more than 2,000 retail customers alongside major blue chip companies - Asda, Morrisons and Sainsbury’s, also established Cash & Carrys such as Bestway, Dhamecha and Abra.

Starting off with our 1,500 square ft warehouse and gradually expanding to our current 40,000 square ft home! Growth like this allows us to increase our tradding levels and present our customers with a wider range of brands and products. We currently stock over 2,500 product lines and believe that this sort of achievement is the beginning of a bright future!

Our brands

We are proud to say that Gima UK Ltd has its own very popular brands - Bodrum with its range of grains & pulses, spices, delights, jams, nuts & snacks and much more. We also have our chilled specialised brand in Melis with a wide selection of cheese, sausages and salamis. These brands along with Sultanim and Skanderbeg have been a huge success within the UK market and as the demand is increasing, so is our search to expand our range even further! We also work with many household names such as Podravka, Vegeta, 7 Days, Kelmendi, Haribo, Milka, Lavazza however our speciality is to import and distribute various favourites from the Eastern European and Mediterranean markets. These brands include Tymbark, Sokolow, Costa, Profi, Lowicz, Dawtona, Smak, Basak, Pudliszki, Lays and many, many more!
